Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is an American science fiction romantic drama film. This is a 2004 film directed by Michel Gondry and based on the screenplay of  Charlie Kaufman. This is the story of  Pierre Bismuth, Michel Gondry, and Charlie Kaufman.

The film follows 2 individuals who undergo a procedure to rub or erase everything from their memory following the conclusion of their relationship. The title of this film is taken from the 1717 poem Eloisa to Abelard by Alexander Pope. this film was produced by Steve Golin and Anthony Bregman. This film was opened in the year 2004 on March in the United States. It also got $ 74 million in a $20 million budget.

Plot

Clementine and Joel are in a relationship, but Clementine decides to rub out all Joel’s memories. Joel was also decided to do the same. While Joel is having his memories erased at times, a worker from the memory-erasing company uses Joel’s memories to get closer to Clementine.

As a result of erased memories, he realizes that he doesn’t want to forget Clementine; he tries to stop the erasing procedure with the help of a mental version of Clementine in his mind. However, the company was forced to do it because of the loss. In Clementine’s Last memory, they both agreed to meet in Montauk again. At that time, drama opened up in Joel’s apartment, where the company’s workers were working.

When Joel woke up without remembering Clementine, he still felt drawn to her and met her on the train. They both spent time together, and they were listening to their old memories. They were shocked by listening to their memories, which was bitter, but they decided to give their other chance to their relationship.
