Damsel is an American dark fantasy film. It was written by Dan Mazeau and the movie was directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Damsel was released on March 8, 2024. It was Produced by Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Castaldi. The movie has gained mixed reviews from the viewers.
The character Elodie is played by Millie Bobby Brown, she accepts a marriage proposal. Later she finds out that the marriage was being used to repay a royal family’s ancient debts. Now Elodie has to escape while battling the dragon that is hiding in the chasm.

Shohreh Aghdashloo is an Iranian and American actress. She was born on 11 May 1952 to Effie and Anushiravan Vaziri Tabar. She has received a Primetime Emmy Award and a Satellite Award. In the year of 1976 she made her film debut in Chess of the Wind. She is best known for her role as Dina Araz in the 24 season 4.
She released her autobiography, The Alley of Love and Yellow Jasmines in 2013. She voiced Grayson in Netflix’s series Arcane in 2021. In 2024, Shohreh voiced the dragon in the Netflix film Damsel. Aghdashloo acted in the popular TV series “The Expanse” on Amazon Prime Video. She portrayed Chrisjen Avasarala, the UN Deputy Undersecretary of Executive Administration.
Plot
The first king of the kingdom of Aurea fails in his attempt to kill a dragon, putting his people in danger. Years later, a young lady named Elodie is asked to marry Prince Henry for the purpose of supporting her family and the country. Henry and Elodie don’t at first look interested in each other, but they slowly grow up to one another.
But when Elodie learns that she is supposed to be a dragon’s give up, things take a deadly turn. In the dragon’s cave, she finds secrets and tries to escape. She manages to survive and tries to save her sister with the help of some glowing slugs. Elodie faces the dragon and explains the real meaning of the sacrifices, preparing an epic battle that changes everything.
